Vet Radar Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 13 March 2020. Vet Radar is committed to ensuring the privacy of all users’ (Users) information.

Application

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information submitted by Users on the Vet Radar Website, via the application or emailed to Vet Radar, and any information that may be automatically retrieved through the use of the Vet Radar Website or the Vet Radar Software and Application. This Privacy Policy forms part of the Agreement between you and Vet Radar that sets out Vet Radar’s and your rights and obligations in relation to the Vet Radar Software. If you do not agree to all the terms of the Agreement (including this Privacy Policy) you must not use the Vet Radar Software or receive the Services. All capitalised terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as set out in the Vet Radar General Terms and Conditions (unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy).

Changes to Privacy Policy

Vet Radar may amend or update this Privacy Policy at any time, effective upon the posting of modified terms on the Vet Radar Website or as otherwise notified to you in writing (including by email). You will ensure that you have read, understood and agree to the most recent terms posted on the Vet Radar Website or as otherwise notified to you.

Personal information

In order to use the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application, all Users will need to submit certain personal information such as their email address, name, and telephone number. Users may be asked to submit further information from time to time. Vet Radar may also collect aggregate information generated by its systems which track traffic to the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application but do not relate to Users personally. Failure to provide necessary personal information when requested may result in certain services not being available to you.

Use of information and data

Provided they opt-in, Vet Radar may use the personal information that Users provide for the following purposes: (a) to verify Users’ identities and assist Users if they forget their password or registered login details; (b) to assist Users in using the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application; (c) to enhance delivery of the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application; (d) to communicate with Users in relation to their use of the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application; (e) to provide further information to Users about suppliers or other websites and services which Vet Radar considers may be of interest to Users; (f) for future marketing, promotional and publicity purposes, including to carry out direct marketing, market research and surveys; and (g) for any other use that Users authorise. Any personal information given to Vet Radar by a User either at a conference, via phone call, or via a web-form will be considered opting-in.

Disclosure of information

Unless expressly authorised to do so by the relevant User, Vet Radar will not disclose any User’s personal information to any third party except where (a) the disclosure relates to the purposes for which the information was collected (as stated above); (b) Vet Radar believes in good faith that it is required to do so by law; or (c) that third party is a Related Company of Vet Radar and is involved in the provision of the Vet Radar Website, Vet Radar Software, Vet Radar application or Services to Users. Notwithstanding the forgoing, Vet Radar may disclose aggregate tracking information and other information that does not personally identify Users to third parties for any purpose.

Cookies and tracking

Vet Radar may use a cookie file containing information that can identify details of Users’ IP addresses, device platform (e.g. Windows, Mac OS, iOS or Android), browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome or other, plus the version of browser), domain (whether Users are accessing the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application from New Zealand or elsewhere) and other User information (e.g. login details). Vet Radar may use the information generated by cookies to: (a) track traffic patterns to and from the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application; (b) ensure any advertising or communications are being shown to the most appropriate person; and (c) enable Users to enter the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application and use certain services and to visit registered-user only areas of the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application. Users can choose to refuse cookies by turning them off in their browser and/or deleting them from their hard drive. Users do not need to have cookies turned on to use the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application but will need them to log on to the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application and to access personalised or secure content on the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application. Some pages may not function properly if the cookies are turned off.

Content providers, Advertisers and Partners

Vet Radar does not control the practices of content providers, advertisers, partners and other third parties connected with the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application and to whom Users provide personal information whilst using the Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application. The Vet Radar Website and/or the Vet Radar Software and Application may contain links to other sites, which may not follow the same privacy policies that Vet Radar adopts. Vet Radar recommends that you check any relevant privacy policies before providing your personal information to any third party.

Access to and updates of information

Any personal information that you provide to Vet Radar will be collected and held by Vet Radar.

Users may request at any time to see the personal information that Vet Radar holds about them or to correct, delete or update any such personal information (to the extent that Users are unable to do so on the Vet Radar Website). Retention

Vet Radar may hold Users’ personal information both before and after the cancellation of each User’s account, but only for as long as needed to carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or to comply with relevant law.
